After creating my Photostory for assignment 1, I was pumped up and ready to find out what assignment 2 was going to be. Our assignment 2 was to create a Flickr. I had previously heard about Flickr and seen it on my cell phone, but never used it because I never knew what it was. Flickr is a Web 2.0 tool that allows you to create an online photo album in which you can share your project with other people and sites
Dr. Yuen asked us to upload a minimum of 12 photo images, preferably not all the same photos we used for our first assignment. Following, gathering the 12 photos I wanted to use I then modified them in Picnik. After editing my pictures to make them creative and unique I then created a Flickr account. I had to create a new album and photostream for my images. I then had to provide a title, description, tags, and map the location for each image. To finish off assignment 2 I created 2 sets of photos from my photostream and then post my link to our class website.
I really enjoyed learning about this application in class. Flickr is a very neat and quick way to create and share an online photo album with anyone you choose. I will start using Flickr frequently, and would suggest this tool to anyone. I am a Sport and Business major and will be able to use this in class and also when I graduate. I feel it will be one simple innovative way to grab my audience’s attention in the future. I really enjoyed everything about assignment to and can’t wait to start creating plenty more Flickr albums.
I agree with you about being excited after assignment one. Looking at your family flicker sets made me think about the real reason flicker was created. Flicker is a great tool to show and share pictures with family members that can be accessed from anywhere. The location aspect of this site allow the user to show their photo location which is a plus. I liked your set of pictures overall.

ReplyDeleteI agree. After our first assignment I was excited to see what the rest of our assignments were going to be. Flicker is a great way to share photos with everyone rather it be friends, family, or anyone else out there who would like to see your photos! Great work!
